Pumpkin Carving Party

We had our first annual pumpkin carving party. I have added the pictures to the slideshow so check them out. I believe it was a success! They did the cake walk for the grand prize of suckers and we let them have fun doing the limbo which at this age we wern't too concerned with the rules, everyone wins! Each year the stakes will get higher and the games tougher. So after the games all the dad's grabbed their pumpkins and got to work. Derek made it all about 5 minutes until he conveniently found Curt Saher to take over the responsibilites of carving his daughters pumpkin. Now that doesn't sound like Derek, does it??? He just sat back and watched. We had great food and great company and all the kids looked terrific in their costumes. I will say the most popular costume went to the pirates for the girls and spider man for the boys. The little girl that wore it the best had to go to Macy Aikia for wearing that itchy wig the entire 2 and half hours she was here, Classic!

Our Backyard

We heard that there was a family of deer that lived in our woods in the backyard. So Derek got some corn to start feeding them. Anyways the word is out we had 6 does and fawns out this morning and we have a couple of 10 point bucks that come as well. The doe's will let me take a picture of them but anytime I try to get out there to take a picture of the bucks they run. They eat every morning and every night.

The Disney Cruise

Here they are the 10 grandchildren that made it on the Disney Cruise. They got to eat at their own table at dinner and they had a ball. They were all very good and they all had the best vacation they ever had. They all agreed it was a 10!!!

Grandma Crimin sent us all matching outfits to wear on our first night on the cruise. We had to take a picture to capture the moment. We did see another family with the same outfits on. Lauren and Emily thought it was fantastic to wear matching outfits.

This is the girls with their best cousin pals, Brandon and Conner.

Emily thought the characters were the best things on the cruise ship, She smiled the best for them, and couldn't get enough of them. She grabbed on to Minnie's hand and didn't want to let go.

Lauren and Savannah were brave girls to go out snorkeling, Derek and I went out with them and the first time Savannah saw a fish she about died. She screamed so loud she even scared me. Lauren liked it pretty good and I am sure she will do again sometime. It was really neat to see all those beautiful fish but they did come swimming up right to your face and it was a little intimidating.

Here are some of the kids with their maw maw and paw paw and Aunt Natalie enjoying the Beach.

Finally!!!!

I have been trying to create one of these blogs for a year now. I have started a couple already and by the time I would get back to finish it, I wouldn't be able to remember my log in info. So hopefully I can get this up and going this time and become successful at it. This is a picture of the family when we went to Kim and Chris's house to visit Chelly over Labor Day weekend. Chelly is doing good and acting normal even though her cancer has come back. She has a lump about the size of a cantaloupe on her back and she breaths very heavily but beside that she is still playful as ever.

Lauren has started Kindergarten and she seems to be adapting well. Her first progress report was great, the teacher wrote that she is committed to pleasing everyone. Needless to say they don't see any red stars in her near future. Emily goes to school 4 days a week and is very proud to show all of her art work to me as soon as I pick her up. I have some pictures of Laurens first day of school, Derek takes her to school everyday on his way to work and she rides the bus home.

These are pictures of the girls playing with their friend Macy Aikia. They really love being so much closer to all their friends and cousins. We get to see everyone so much more now that we moved closer into town. It has been great for me to since I am only 5 to 10 minutes late now instead of always being 20 minutes late. I also don't feel so much like a taxi cab now.

These pictures are at Austin and Ali's with their children Logan and Lincoln. Please excuse my children in this picture, Laurens doesn't grasp the proper way to sit when you are wearing a skirt but then again she is only 5. And poor Emily has discovered that there are fun things to grab up in her nose. Logan and Lincoln look so precious in this picture that I didn't want to ruin it for them.
